The Allai Khwar Hydropower Project is located on the left tributary of the Indus River, near Besham in the District of Battagram, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The project features a dam with a height of 32.5 meters and a headrace tunnel extending 2,366 meters. It has an installed capacity of 121 MW, generating an estimated annual energy output of 463 GWh. The project utilizes a gross head of 697 meters.The construction contract was awarded to DEC Astron and VA Tech.
